Case Study: The Coal Authority

THE CHALLENGE
The Coal Authority (TCA) works to resolve the impacts of mining. TCA were using a wide variety of disjointed end-of-life solutions and processes to deliver their business services. Most notably their ability to adapt to changing market conditions. Particularly predicted increases in demand for key operational services.
THE APPROACH
TCA commissioned SCISYS to undertake a technology led business transformation programme. The aim was to deliver a new enterprise information service. The system is based on state-of-the art service design integrated with their corporate Geographic Information System (GIS). It provides TCA with a single, unified view of their enterprise. The solution facilitates smarter working via business process automation, service re-use and corporate data sharing.
