ISO 9001 – QUALITY MANAGEMENT
The SCISYS Quality Management System is certified to ISO 9001:2015 by the British Standards Institution. It is subject to six monthly surveillance audits and a full reassessment every 3 years. The Certificate of Registration FM 715537 is available here.
ISO 27001 – INFORMATION SECURITY MANAGEMENT
The SCISYS Information Security Management System is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 by the British Standards Institution. It is subject to six monthly surveillance audits and a full reassessment every 3 years. BSI have issued a case study showcasing how SCISYS approached obtaining ISO27001 certification. CYBER ESSENTIALS PLUS
Cyber Essentials Plus is a UK government-backed and industry-supported scheme to guide businesses in protecting themselves from common cyber threats. SCISYS is certified via CREST to the more thorough Cyber Essentials Plus level of the scheme, which is reassessed annually. The current certificate of registration is available, which can be validated online.
ISO 20000-1 – IT SERVICE MANAGEMENT
The SCISYS Service Management System is certified to ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 by the British Standards Institution. It is subject to six monthly surveillance audits and a full reassessment every 3 years. ISO 14001 – ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
The SCISYS Environmental Management System is certified to ISO 14001:2015 by the British Standards Institution. It is subject to six monthly surveillance audits and a full reassessment every 3 years. SCISYS have an Environmental Policy. The Certificate of Registration EMS-715534 is available.

CROWN COMMERCIAL SERVICE
The Crown Commercial Service, part of the Cabinet Office, run a number of Government Procurement Frameworks. Following intense competition, SCISYS is one of the few ICT companies which has achieved accreditation to a number of frameworks. SCISYS is accredited in 3 lots (4,5&6) of the Corporate Software Solutions framework and in a number of roles in the Government Digital Services framework. ASSOCIATION OF GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION (AGI)
SCISYS is a member of the AGI (www.agi.org.uk), the professional association for those working with computer mapping and geographic information.
Many SCISYS projects involve a geographical element, from simple postcodes through to complex 4-dimensional spatial data. SCISYS is a member and active participant in TechUK (www.techuk.org), the trade association for the UK hi-tech industry that represents the interests of hi-tech sectors with government, regulators, customers and consumers.

IT SERVICE MANAGEMENT FORUM (ITSMF)
SCISYS is a vendor member of the IT Service Management Forum (www.itSMF.co.uk). The IT Service Management Forum (itSMF) is the independent and internationally recognised forum for IT Service Management professionals.
Our membership to itSMF provides a forum for our ITIL certified staff to exchange views, share experiences and participate in continuous development and promotion of best practice and standards around the disciplines of Service Management.
Environmental Policy (UK)
SCISYS recognises its responsibilities to the local community and the wider environment for its environmental impact. It is committed to complying with all relevant environmental legislation at local, regional and national level as a minimum requirement and to continually improve environmental performance through appropriate initiatives, controls, provision of resources and training of employees. The aim is to minimise significant impacts of SCISYS activities, products and services.
An Environmental Management System (EMS) has been established that complies with the International Standard ISO 14001:2015.
The EMS implements the Environmental Policy via documented policies, procedures and standards under the direction of the senior management team with the support of all employees, suppliers and contractors. Customers are advised to use and dispose of the organisation’s products in an environmentally appropriate way.
Management objectives and targets are established and reviewed on a regular basis to implement the Environmental Policy. These are based on a commitment to six environmental principles:
- Prevention of pollution
- Minimisation of energy and material usage and the production of waste
- Effective and responsible waste management and disposal
- Promoting reuse and recycling of products
- Maintaining a high level of awareness of environmental issues in the workforce
- Involving suppliers, contractors and customers in environmental initiatives
The effectiveness of the EMS is monitored and reviewed by regular audit and Management Review. The Environmental Policy is communicated to all employees via the company Intranet and made available to the public on the Company Internet site, or by paper copy. The involvement of its workforce and external interested and affected parties in its Environmental Policy is encouraged through effective communication procedures.
